Alexander
S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation
The Onassis Foundation has a tendency to grant at least one scholarship (category C) every year to a Turkish graduate student who majors in history. The scholarship consists of a
round trip air-ticket (economy class) for the scholarship recipient only for his/her arrival and upon his/her definite departure from Greece;
hotel accommodation in a single room with breakfast in central Athens. If you are lucky enough to find a furnished apartment at the city center, which is around € 400, the foundation pays for it. I wouldn't recommend an unfurnished apartment. If accommodation is necessary in another town of Greece, the Foundation will either cover the rent or provide equivalent reimbursement- following agreement- which should be equivalent;
A monthly allowance € 600 (euro, not dollars) for subsistence and all other expenses.
